WHY DO I NEED TO HAVE MY CHIMNEY/FLUE SWEPT?
Chimneys need to allow the free passage of products of combustion. Regular sweeping will remove soot, tar/creosote, bird nests and any other blockages which could lead to a chimney fire or carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning. Chimney Sweeping makes your appliance cleaner, safer and more efficient.
HOW OFTEN DOES MY CHIMNEY NEED SWEEPING?
Frequency will depend on a number of factors which include the type of fuel used, appliance, duration of use, moisture content of wood fuel, and the type of chimney you have. The sweeping frequencies below are for guidance purposes only:
We offer friendly, reliable and professional chimney sweeping and stove maintenance services in Warrington, Cheshire and surrounding areas. - Wood: At least once a year
- Smokeless fuel: At least once a year
- Bituminous coal: Quarterly when in use
- Oil: Once a year
- Gas: Once a year
Weekend or evening appointments are available (at extra cost)
We use the latest industry approved sweeping and dust suppression equipment to carry out a mess free and efficient sweep of all types of chimney or flue.
